These custom manufactured astroturf hoop holders weigh 75 pounds each and are only 1/2 inch thick.  They cost $250 for a pair and I can't even imagine what the shipping cost would be but if you're interested, send me an email.  They are phenomenal.  The spring loaded holders absorb the shock of players colliding with the poles and snap back into place nicely.  Also very good for indoor facilities like hardwood floors.
